8mm & Super8 silent Film Transfer by the foot

For a reel or two of 8mm or Super 8 silent film that doesn't need a full film box. Priced per foot, so you only pay for what you actually have. Every reel is scanned frame by frame, in-house, without a hot projector bulb anywhere near your original film. Not sure whether you have 8mm or 16mm? A quick ruler check across the film width usually settles it — or email us a photo and we'll identify it for you. Most orders are completed within 2–3 weeks of us receiving your film. Shipping your film to us is your responsibility; return shipping is calculated by weight and added at checkout.

8mm and Super8 film reels transferred by the foot to digital video files in HD 1920x1080 in MP4 format. You'll be able to download your files or you can add on a USB flash drive.

Reel sizes by diameter for foot estimating:

3 inches = 50 ft (most popular)
4 inches = 100 ft
5 inches = 200 ft
7 inches = 400 ft

*Most reels 4 inches or larger will have hash marks every 50ft to help you estimate how much film is on the reel. This is especially helpful if the reel is not full.

Film estimates within 50 feet will be accepted at purchased price, additional footage will require supplemental invoicing.
